Supercars majlis is an exclusive supercar club founded by a few supercar enthusiats in 2017 in Dubai. What started out as a small operation managed on whats app grew into a 500+ VIP member club. The club organized drives, member exclusive events and special offers for their members. This was getting increasingly difficult to manage on whats app so I was entrusted to build a solution for supercars majlis.

I built the iOS app from the ground up while leading a backend engineer and UX designer to develop a well-integrated system with a world class user experience.

Key technical highlights

Member registration

Prospective members could apply to join Supercars Majlis through the app, undergoing a thorough vetting process before gaining access to the club. The app enabled applicants to register their details and securely submit required documents including car registration, driver's license, national ID, and car images for review by a Supercars Majlis admin.

All data was transmitted to the backend securely via a REST API, with image uploads handled using a multipart form format.

Custom UX

Supercars Majlis was built using Swift, with the entire user experience implemented programmatically. UIKit played a key role, leveraging UICollectionView, AutoLayout, and UIView based animations to create a slick, high performance experience that felt premium which aligned perfectly with the brand.

Smart check in

Club members confirmed event attendance by checking in at the venue. This was done verification and leaderboard purposes. CoreLocation was used to determine the user's location, which was sent to the backend to verify proximity to an event. A smart check-in feature allowed automatic check-ins when users opened the app, detecting if they were near a live event.

Promo codes

Supercars Majlis members accessed exclusive discounts and promotions, redeemable only through the app. Each promotion featured a unique vendor redemption code, which vendors entered in the app to validate and track redemptions during on-site transactions.
